THE REGISTRY THAT ROCKS

The Gibraltar Aircraft Registry (GAR) has been established to offer a refined and carefully structured aircraft registration experience within a stable common-law jurisdiction.

Designed with discerning owners, operators, and advisers in mind, GAR combines regulatory integrity with a highly personalised, service-led approach. Clients benefit from direct access to the Authority, clear guidance, and attentive support throughout the registration lifecycle, ensuring matters are handled efficiently, discreetly, and with precision.

This approach is underpinned by a white-glove service philosophy, where attention to detail, responsiveness, and discretion define every interaction.

The Gibraltar Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) is the independent aviation regulator for Gibraltar. It is responsible for certification, regulatory oversight and ensuring compliance with national legislation and internationally recognised aviation standards. The regulatory framework has been developed through extensive legislative preparation to ensure alignment with the Standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Through its oversight activities, the GCAA ensures that all aircraft, operators and approved organisations on the Gibraltar Register continue to meet the required safety, airworthiness and operational standards.

A Public–Private Partnership Built on Trust

The Gibraltar Aircraft Registry operates through a public–private partnership with the Gibraltar Civil Aviation Authority that brings together regulatory oversight and operational expertise within a clearly defined governance framework.

Under this model, the Authority retains full responsibility for regulation, oversight, and compliance, while the Registry benefits from dedicated operational support designed to deliver efficiency, consistency, and a high level of client service. This structure ensures that regulatory independence is preserved, while allowing the Registry to operate with focus, responsiveness, and continuity.

Together, this partnership provides a balanced and robust foundation, combining public accountability with private-sector capability to support a modern, service-led aircraft registry.

Built on Experience. Designed for Confidence.
