Aircraft operated under CAR OPS 2A/H and holding a valid Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) must not continue to fly beyond 12 months from the date of issue or reissue of the C of A unless a valid Airworthiness Review Declaration (ARD) has been submitted to and approved by the Gibraltar Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
The first ARD must be issued 12 months after the initial issue of the C of A and must then be renewed annually until the Certificate of Airworthiness is renewed. Applications must be submitted using Form AIR 05.
An ARD may be issued up to 60 days before its expiry date without affecting the annual renewal cycle.
The ARD must be issued by the owner’s or operator’s designated Airworthiness Coordinator or the Postholder responsible for Airworthiness Reviews. When issuing the declaration, the signatory confirms that they oversee the aircraft’s continuing airworthiness management and are satisfied that all applicable continuing airworthiness requirements have been met.
