Some individuals or companies not located in the United Kingdom, the European Union or the European Economic Area may need to select a Registered Agent legally established in Gibraltar. There is no requirement to establish a local company.
What is a Registered Agent?
The Registered Agent serves solely as an address for service, receiving and forwarding official documents, notices, and other formal correspondence issued by the GCAA to the aircraft owner.
Need Further Guidance?
If you are unsure whether you require a Registered Agent, or would like clarification on the registration requirements, please contact the Gibraltar Aircraft Registry at registration@gar.aero.
Upon receipt of your enquiry, we will:
- assess your eligibility to register an aircraft in Gibraltar;
- advise whether the appointment of a Registered Agent is required; and
- where applicable, provide a personalised registration checklist, including:
- Form REG 03 – Application for Registered Agent; and
- a list of Registered Agent service providers established in Gibraltar from which you may choose.
