An Airworthiness Directive (AD) is a mandatory instruction issued to correct an unsafe condition affecting an aircraft, engine, propeller or aircraft component.
In most cases, the GCAA adopts the Airworthiness Directives issued by the State of Design. Where necessary to address specific safety concerns affecting Gibraltar-registered aircraft, the GCAA may issue its own Airworthiness Directives.
Compliance with applicable Airworthiness Directives is mandatory.
